Similar to the digipak we have created and initial flat plan and and initial plan. From the research, the magazine adverts often feature the title of the band quite large in relation to the other elements and is easily read and most of the time draws the audiences eye first when they look at the advert. Because of this we have placed the title at the top and have chosen to put a picture of the band at the bottom so once the audience have read the band name they will look down to the band itself and be tempted to read the titles as they look down the advert. The advert will feature the name of the band, album and the single but will also feature the website name and relevant labels such as the island record label and stores where the album can be purchased. We did not want to put features such as ratings and other information as we wanted to keep it minimalistic and easy for the audience to view.
This is a really good blog so far Tom. There is some work to do to improve it but I think almost everything you could put on here is present. You do need some flat plans and initial ideas for your digipak and adverts.
